Classification System for Sustainable Investments

The European Union has issued regulations establishing a unified classification system to categorize economic activities based on their environmental sustainability.

These regulations have been implemented in Iceland and apply to parts of Sjóvá’s operations, including both non-life insurance and investment activities.

Information on the proportion of revenue from insurance products covered by the regulation and aligned with it is published annually in the Annual & Sustainability Report.

From 2025, information on the proportion of the investment portfolio covered by the classification regulation and the portion aligned with it will also be disclosed in the report.

See details in the 2023 Annual & Sustainability Report.
