This is the first time in Iceland that it is possible to insure both mother and child during this precious time.
- Pregnancy Insurance can be bought once the pregnancy has been confirmed and until the woman reaches 32 weeks of pregnancy.
- Pregnancy Insurance takes effect in the 17th week of pregnancy or later if purchased after that time. It remains valid throughout the pregnancy and until one month after the child's birth.
- All expecting mothers can buy Pregnancy Insurance at the same price. It does not matter whether it is a high-risk pregnancy or if the mother has experienced complications in previous pregnancies.
- Pregnancy Insurance costs 30,000 ISK, paid in a single payment when purchasing the insurance. The price remains the same regardless of when during the pregnancy it is bought.
- Everyone who purchases Pregnancy Insurance receives a small gift from us to increase safety at home while supplies last.
